Both are of these are incomplete oil paintings and in the landscape there is also charcoal (I ended up finishing the landscape). The landscape is actually the area behind Target, which was surprising because I kinda assumed the Target was in the middle of nothingness. I really like the pallet I started to develop it really makes the painting.

These are all landscapes using cut paper on both canvas and paper. My process was to go out and make the colors in the landscape, then come back later with the cut paper and create the houses and landscapes. I had some trouble staying away from making them look too patterned and not focusing on creating a sense of space. But I really had a lot of fun with this idea I got some comments that maybe I should try using different sized colors strips so I might try that.

This is a compilation of pictures from the San Fransisco earthquakes and cloth. I kind of wanted to create this feminine disaster with the color pallet but I think the vine charcoal keeps the painting gritty and not just a pretty pastel colored piece.

The Evils of Painting

So the other day I dropped my glass palette. It is now all destroyed and it took a chunk of my finger in the process. :( Am I too lazy to get a new one? Yes. I guess it is nice to have a mini palette ....

Also note the horrible brown carpeting in my room.
